Every penny raised will go directly to Breast Cancer Kent which is a charity run purely by Trustees and volunteers. There are no paid roles in the charity.

Breast Cancer Kent aims to improve the lives of those diagnosed with breast cancer in Kent.

They do this by funding projects, equipment and research to support the work of the NHS Medical Teams at the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Breast Care Units, Kent Oncology Centre and the University of Kent School of biosciences.

The charity acts as a hub for fundraising, receiving donations, allocating funds to projects large and small, and disseminating general information on breast health and breast cancer treatments.

Our funds go to enhance and compliment the work of the NHS Trusts - funding a specialist study day for a breast care nurse, a safe ride home in a taxi for an elderly patient attending a late evening clinic or tomosynthesis scanning equipment which has revolutionised the diagnosis of breast cancer.

A committee of Trustees and volunteers meets on a quarterly basis to co-ordinate the work of the charity. The Trustees include Consultant Breast and Oncoplastic Surgeons and Consultant Clinical Oncologists. They also have a dedicated group of volunteers who act as Treasurer, Secretary, Fundraising/PR Co-ordinators, Social Media and Website administrators.
