We are incredibly proud to be able to offer our guests and supporters the chance to own this incredible piece by leading artist, and wonderful supporter of the Foundation, Keith Tyson.
"Tessa was a dear friend and I have created and donated this painting, Still Life Orbiting a Star (for Tessa), in her memory. I have been painting still lives for many years now but I wanted this work to reference the passing of time and cycles of life in a unique way so I painted the work around a circular canvas with each flower and plant positioned from the time of year it appears in nature. Thus cosmology and biology are linked, each generation passing information on to the next.
The work the Tessa Jowell Foundation is doing to transform the treatment and care of NHS brain cancer patients is staggering, and it's an honour to be able to remember Tessa and support the essential work being carried out in her name."
