Nature's SAFE at the Natural History Museum
MENU

Each day we lose the genetic blue print of animals 1.2 billion years in the making on Earth.

Nature’s SAFE is safeguarding the future of
our natural world by preserving live cells
of animals at risk of extinction

Nature’s SAFE is a Living Biobank on a mission to save animals from extinction by collecting, indefinitely storing and regenerating reproductive cells and cell lines from endangered animal species.

We apply innovative biotechnology to protect biodiversity options for the future - as the most important and effective solution to the dual threat of climate and biodiversity crises.

Our aim is to become the Millennium Seed Bank equivalent for the animal kingdom.

Our work has been featured in Wired Magazine, the BBC News, and many other press outlets.

Here's our team. We work closely with zoos and reproductive scientists across the UK, Europe, and globally.
