A peasant turned into an artist, Manco has always lived between the limits of the urban and countryside environment. Focused on the beauty of the fragile landscape of its native Colombia, the artist has
worked in large format charcoals perfecting a technique he is well known for. Alongside the painting, he and his family performs in openings with a sack of corn, taking the leaves out and talking to the audience
about the benefits of corn.
In the middle of this black and white piece, there is a red and green shape, symbol of La Minga, an
organisation of native americans dedicated to fight for their rights.
