ABOUT EXIST LOUDLY

Founded in 2020, Exist Loudly are a creative youth non profit organisation dedicated to supporting Black LGBTQ+ youth from London through spaces of joy, community and care.

Through creative intervention and digital storytelling, we create, curate and facilitate experiences for Black LGBTQ+ youth to build community, confidence and autonomy in spaces where they exist as the majority, spaces where they are free to EXIST LOUDLY.

Over the years we have run events and programming including: The Mentor Match Up, Queer Cutz, ERASURE, The Exist Loudly summer jam and our main event since 2019, Queer Black Christmas!

OUR FOUNDER

TANYA COMPAS

Tanya Compas is an award winning youth worker, content creator and offers their expertise as a consultant in all things Corporate social impact, youth programme design and community impact.

Tanya has always been passionate about working with young people and their passion has seen them work in various different roles both in education and the charity sector, across the globe, including Peru, Brasil, Colombia, the USA and of course the UK.

Over the years, Tanya has dedicated time to creating programming and events for predominantly Black youth from London, each programme catered to the youth, each programme a reflection of what drives Tanya to do this work, connection, community and creativity.

Tanya started Exist Loudly after growing frustrated with the charity sector and the constant battles with organisations unable to see young people as the intersectional people that they are and the constant push back to work in the confides of what is 'traditional' for the charity sector.

Tanya prides herself on not only pushing boundaries, but disrupting the status quo and sparking moments of reflection to consider the larger 'why'.

Exist Loudly does just that. An organisation that is driven by the need for joy, an organisation that is defined by community and connection, an organisation that refuses to conform to the status quo of the non-profit world, an organisation whose impact cannot be simplified into a report, but one that can be felt, amongst the community.
