The Rugby Portobello Trust supporting the children and young people of North Kensington since 1884
The Rugby Portobello Trust is a children's, youth and family support charity that has been supporting the local community for almost 140 years. We support the children and young people of North Kensington to build confidence, expand their horizons and realise their potential, supporting them to lead lives free from crime and deprivation.
Through educational support, art sessions, music programmes, sporting activities, mental health support, mentoring programmes, employment hubs and more, we support children, young people and mums to be happy, healthy and engaged members of society.
Our programmes run on and offsite every weekday during the day and late into the evenings and through most holidays. Our programmes run seven days per week, support more than 1,300 children, young people and mums each year and cost £1.2m to run - that's just £886 per head for an entire year of support across all of our programmes.
Our programmes are run by just 24 staff and are supported by more than 200 incredible volunteers, who are the recipients of the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS) for their commitment to supporting their local community.
Our programmes are more than 80% funded by supporters like you, events link the Christmas Market and campaigns like our match-funding campaign. It's only with your support that we're able to keep our doors open for all the children, young people and families who need us. Thank you for your support and for making this possible.
