Dustine West sustained a spinal cord injury in 2011 when he was struck from behind and knocked off his motorbike by a drunk driver on an unlit stretch of motorway - his life changed in an instant. Following his accident Dustine turned to his love of art to support him through his rehabilitation and life beyond injury.

These unique pieces of artwork have been hand drawn by Dustine using a technique called stippling which incorporates several small circles & dots in the same colour to create a composition.

This incredible piece of art shows F1 2022 World Champion, Max Verstappen, signed by the man himself.

A word from the artist: In an instant my life changed beyond recognition. Suddenly waking up and discovering that you’re going to be in a wheelchair for the rest of your life will challenge anyone’s’ sanity, sense of self and self-esteem. My art allowed me to find a way of looking at all of this and more. It allowed me to come to terms with such a life changing moment and be able to accept my new disability, embrace it and the new path it will take me on. My art had given me a more positive outlook on my new-found disability and has open new doors. It has introduced me to new friends, allowed me to set new goals and given me new opportunities to do more with my art… It’s seeing the joy and appreciation on peoples faces that really make the hours spent creating pictures from thousands of dots worthwhile.
