Three night escape in Champagne, France for two people

Be there and drink it! Hautvillers is a charming village in Champagne for all of the lovers of its name. Benedictine monk Dom Pérignon (interred in the village church) is believed to be the first to discover how to add the fizz to bottles of wine from Champagne. Local legend pictures him holding his glass aloft and calling “Brothers, come quick I am tasting the stars!”

This experience allows for two people to spend three nights in the guest house of the owner of a Champagne vineyard in Hautvillers itself. On your first morning, you will enjoy a tour of the family vineyards and winery followed by a Champagne tasting. There is a lovely village café & bakery offering breakfast & lunch and a superb restaurant offering tasting lunches & dinners paired with more Champagne should you wish to add on.

Visit the church in the village and pay your respects to Dom Perignon himself - perhaps with a glass of champagne in your hand? This is your very own chance to "taste the stars!" where it all began!
