This year Soho House is partnering with the Jamal Edwards Self Belief Trust in memory of Jamal, a beloved and much missed member of the Soho House family. After joining our Under 27 membership Committee more than a decade ago, he was pivotal in shaping our community.
The Jamal Edwards Self Belief Trust is dedicated to supporting young people under two key initiatives. The first will provide mentorship and support for 16–21-year-olds in developing life and cognitive skills, followed by internships within the media industry.
The second initiative is focused on homeless intervention. Homeless young adults will be housed in properties purchased by the Trust, and a multi-faceted therapeutic approach will be used to develop their life skills, followed by tailored apprenticeships, and eventually permanent work placements within various industries.
All donated funds will fund these programmes, helping young people to live independently with confidence and Self Belief.
