ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Kate Mosse is the author of ten novels and short story collections, including the multimillion selling Languedoc Trilogy (Labyrinth, Sepulchre and Citadel) and the No 1 bestselling The Joubert Family Chronicles (The Burning Chambers, The City of Tears and The Ghost Ship).  She has also written four works of non-fiction including An Extra Pair of Hands, her memoir about caring, and the international bestselling Warrior Queens & Quiet Revolutionaries: How Women (Also) Built the World. She has written four plays, and contributed essays and introductions to classic novels and collections. Kate is the Founder Director of the Women's Prize for Fiction and the Women's Prize for Non-Fiction, the Founder of the global campaign #WomanInHistory which honours, celebrates and promotes women’s achievements throughout history, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and a Visiting Professor in Creative Writing & Contemporary Fiction at the University of Chichester.
